  • When is the van available for loading and unloading?

    Delivery of the van for loading and unloading is available 7 days a week.

  • Where can Horizon Van Lines transport my shipment?

    Horizon Van Lines can transport your shipment anywhere in the 48 contiguous states. Whether you are moving across town or across the country we will provide you a safe reliable move.

  • How and when can I pay for the move?

    We require a minimum deposit upon booking to lock up your date and reserve a truck. We then require 50% of the balance at point of origin and the remaining 50% at delivery.

  • Will there be items other than my own in the vans?

    No. Your items will not be placed with anyone else's items.

     

  • How long does a move usually take with Horizon Van Lines?

    That depends on several factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, time required to load and unload and the direction and distance. Your quote will give specifics based on the prior factors and should any changes occur your moving consultant will be in contact with you.

     

  • Is Horizon Van Lines a licensed mover?

    We are  licensed & bonded with the United States Department of Transportation - Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We also have all insurances required to operate across the contiguaous 48 states.

  • Will I be provided an inventory list?

    You will be provided a signed copy of the  inventory list and bill of lading to ensure the security and accountability of all items.

  • Is the weight of my items a factor in cost?

  • What should I know about delivery and inspection?

    The most important thing is for you to be there at the agreed-upon time for delivery.  Check for damage while the mover is present.  Do not sign any delivery papers until you inspect your belongings and check them against the inventory.

  • When must claims for damage or lost property be filed?

    Dates vary from state to state. Check your local laws.
